In the past, the road allowances were   referred to as \u201cfire lanes\u201d as they provided accesses for fire trucks to get water from the Ottawa River<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Their are 3 Main Beaches. The Point, Auger&#8217;s Beach and Wicken&#8217;s Beach. The Point and Auger&#8217;s Beach have parking &amp; toilets while Wicken&#8217;s Beach only has garbage cans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Small boats can be launched at several location but this can be dicey as the water levels are very low near the shore.
